Shortcuts Preview

This feature was added long back - XYplorer allows previewing the contents of a the file that a shortcut is pointing to.
It does preview it. However; if I create a shortcut for an image file, the preview is not as large as the actual file. Any particular reasons for it and can it be made as large the actual file.
Edit: It does appear hardcoded around 128x128. I tried creating a shortcut for a file with smaller dimensions. The shortcuts preview appears larger than originals in this case

It sounds like it is using thumbnail view for the link previews, which I belibelieve is 128x128 by default. Are your regular thumbnails this same size? If so, try changing the default thumbnail display size (you may need a utility, depending on you OS version).

Tried doing that, it still uses 128x128. I usually view thumbnails in 96x54 or 128x72
Previewing contents of the actual file is I think XY only function (may be supported by few others), so it should be referring to the actual file and hence show the actual dimensions.

Cannot reproduce it. Please explain in more detail what you do, and what type of image file it is.

Don,
Please try it with gif images - smaller than 128x128 and larger than 128x128. I should have checked for jpegs yesterday itself. Then this would have been in Bugs section.
I initially thought, it was meant that way

You mean LNK to animated gifs? In the preview tab? Still no bug here...

Now, it does appear that it is taking the thumbnails size for the shortcut preview as guessed by Trasd.

I just tried this on fresh install. Same issue.

Normally, when a developer says a bug, it is annoying. Its a long wait for a fix.
Not here.
The shortcut preview is a great feature. It deserves a mention in the feature list. I stumbled upon it only while going through beta thread. I normally don't create windows shortcuts, but this creates a use for it.
A potential use - Flat Virtual Image Library - Summoned only when required.
Use case - I have always want to tag my image library. But this would have increased the tags.dat for information required only at times.
Solution - XY allows previewing shortcuts including MDBU for images. Create a folder with shortcuts and mark it as a favorite.

Super Don. I was just writing (albeit with smaller time devotion) how quick you are fixing it and how I plan to use this. And its fixed.
Edit - The fix works.
