Due to questions being raised concerning tutes I thought I would have a search.
Found that if you searched for tutorial it found any mention (too much).
search for Xyplorer tutorials found a really old topic.
Was suggested by Don too place on YouTube.
So have finally done that and they appear at the bottom.
Did a search of YouTube and found some really good tutes.
i.e. if you search for Serendipity you will find a real goldmine.

Nice totmad1! These are helpful.
I've been wanting to do more, but this year has been the busiest yet. Hopefully soon, i'll be back in business.

I am really pleased with your comments .
Had another look at what I had produced and found that I
am not completely happy with results.
will try harder next time .
So if anyone is looking for any particular tute,
I would only be too pleased to attempt.

Nice job!
Two small comments for improvements (but not to actual video):
1) In title, you have the "
P" in CAPS...as in XY
Plorer instead of XYplorer...mayeb you can edit that?
2) Suggest adding "using vers 12.40" to "A short video tutorial" so that it's immediately clear how current the vers was used for making video.

I stand corrected

Thanks. It's not to hard with
the right software.
Unfortunately, Camtasia is pretty pricey (
I'm still on vers. 6, the upgrades alone cost 140€), but I think you can achieve similar results with the free
ActivePresenter
It's very well documented. Check the
Demo,
Tutorial and
Support tabs on the site, where you also can find a very extensive manual (
pdf).
I'm still new to
ActivePresenter, but it seems quite intuitive and light on resources, even when rendering the videos.

Idea concerning those new cool video tutorials. I could link to them in the
Video column here:
http://www.xyplorer.com/features.php
So if you need ideas, see how empty the Video column currently looks!

Yes -- good idea -- but I'd suggest having a separate column (or maybe just a different color arrow) for user video so that yours and theirs don't get mixed together...not saying that user videos are any lesser qualitity but as potential user to software, I'd like to know which ones are "vendor" and which are "user".

Yep, agreed. Different color arrow is a good idea.

Just looked again at that page (hadn't done so when I wrote prior post) and noted that "Documentation" header extends over past "Video" sub-head (at least on my browser) so looks almost like a column is missing --thus maybe both new col + diff color would be better and look more balanced?

I don't think having separate columns for Official and User submitted videos is ideal.
Ensuring the Text and Video columns are the same width and using different icons for the video types should be sufficient.
