Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
Well, I rethought this. There is also F4 to close the dropdown. And Ctrl+Up. And Enter really you should something better than closing a dropdown.
So: Next version Ctrl+ Enter will goto/open (and close the dropdown if is open).

Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
maybe it's just me, but i'd wish 6KN Ctrl+Down not only open drop-down list, but also delete all to right, allowing new auto-complete action.

Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
I bet you haven't tried these new features, most importantly the MCN. I can't imagine what additional value would be given by that space consuming solution of breadcrumb, with many popups. Think about a folder with many subfolders. In that case the popup solution is a peace of garbage, even by the help of keys. I love the straightforward solution of browsing computer by mouse (MCN) or key (xKN). But we are not all alike, of course.Oxide wrote:i hope the new features are not a replacement for the clickable breadcrumbs
Anyway, until the usual boring way of clickable breadcrumb arrives, I recommend to use Listary.

Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
Listary is wonderful; however I have no idea how it replaces clickable breadcrumbs?
Further, why are clickable breadcrumbs space consuming??? In many implementations (e.g. X2) they look exactly the same as any other addressbar. Not a single pixel wasted.
What makes clickable breadcrumbs attractive is the unsurpassable (does this word exist?) simplicity. You can navigate without having to turn on a second neuron - not for the comprehension of any directory choices to be navigated and not for memorization of any keyboard shortcuts. You can deal with a single list of hierarchical directories in the breadcrumbs, and not with 5 or 6 or more lists of the same in parallel as I have to in the current implementations in XY.

Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
Yeah I agree with lulz. However 6KN is also extremely useful. 6KN is geared towards keyboard user and if you try it, it's one sexy feature (I use it quite a lot). Clickable breadcrumbs is geared towards mouse users and is also extremely useful. Personally I'm more of a mouse person so I do like clickable breadcrumbs. Listary however is a different thing. It's what Don is going to work on later which he called live filtering. Listary sort of works with XYplorer (can't seem to get it to work well at all to be honest) but when you use it with Explorer, it's definitely wonderful so I also have it installed since I use Explorer side by side with XYplorer (don't kill me. I love XYplorer but I also have a love for the basic Explorer and both are used extensively).

Re: Clickable breadcrumbs.
Ah yes I found out what I did wrong. I was using Listary version 3 and that did not work with XYplorer very well. Just downloaded version 4 and it works wonderfully! Sorry!
