For what its worth - I have a Motorola Droid Turbo, and when I connect it to my PC it shows as a CD drive(L:). The only files it shows are the installer for Verizon Upgrade Assistant and an autorun and ini file. I am so hopeful that you can get this to work! I haven't been able to find any file manager that can do this other than Windows Explorer. I promise you that if you do I will purchase the full version of XYplorer.

Need a little feedback:
Do you see your device in the latest beta (v14.80.0202 or later)? Can you rename items on the device?

If I start XY I can see my Phone (Galaxy Note 3) and if I press on the + buttons of the tree I can examine it.
If I select any folder XY says: 'location currently not available' and the whole sub-tree beneath this folder is gone (e.g. selecting the phone on top-level there is no tree any more).

With my Panasonic camera DMC-ZS8 (via transfer cable) I can see the memory card and rename images in the list.

With the Fugi X100S however (again using a transfer cable and not just it's memory card), the name X100S displays in the tree, but when I double click on it I get nothing. After turning it on and off a couple of times I did see Memory Card as a sub folder under the X100s, but that happened only once and no more than that. I was able to access images using WE by right clicking on X100S and using "Open".

I own a Nexus 5 but it doesn't show up at all in the tree (non locked & refreshed). Neither when using MTP or PTP. Current beta.

Both modes work fine in Windows Explorer...

Just to make sure, this has to be ticked: Configuration | Tree and List | Items in Tree and List | Show Portable Devices

My BlackBerry Q10 connected with USB mode and assigned with Drive Z, then disconnect > XY still show drive Z (both Computer and #256), of cource inaccessible, thus making XY freeze
v14.80.0202

P.S, talking about freezeing, pls approve this http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13212

Are you working on XP? In that case (assuming you have WMP 10 installed) you have to tweak it:

Code: Select all

ShowPortableDevices=1

By contrast my N5 shows up in XY using both MTP & PTP and renaming items also works. (Win 7 sp 1 x64) :?

Lumia 830 (WP 8.1):

- inline renaming inclusive undo/redo works for files.

- for folders it works but only on the first try. Once the rename has provoked a popup (for instance, if the folder name already exists) <ENTER> does not trigger the edit caret to get out of edit mode and accepting the new name.

No, not really :) Windows Server 2012 R2 Update 1

I've tweaked the config and now the option is still greyed out, but at least it has a checkmark.

My Nexus 5 shows up when I right click into the tree (in the context menu) :)

but I can't do anything with it because of:
