KoFiMan.com  Well that's a cute idea. :) But then we are back at spelling and pronunciation mysteries. :(

Yes, it is shocking + frustrating what bizarre things are already taken (= mostly "available for purchase"). But the bigger the joy when you find something.

That would likely be considered obscene in English as it's too close to a certain 4-letter word that is such.

Don't ask. As I stated in post these are "higer mind" names which just fell into my head. Don't what they mean or what stand for. But you may give them meaning :D

First I thought it sounded like japanese or something in oceanic area language as I can imagine. But also later thought it surely may be sounded like some clothes manufacturing company Frenchconnection ;)

What I suggested sounded or they feel something very pure and innocent. Like some green mountains with fresh blue clear water.

To me it sounds like a lesser known japanese martial arts style, practised on green mountains near fresh blue clear water. But especially in the US they tend to focus on the possible pornographic associations, so Fukedo won't work there. What can you do.

And I still firmly believe that we must have some name that vauglely relates to what to product does, esp since it's not a multi-product company like Adobe...and some of these names above give absolutely no clue to product...now while I'll agree there are some new start-ups with names that are sorta nonsensical (Orkut), they often have vast advertising dollars to promote it...thus, why not something still based on one syllable/portion of words of what it does? Such as Plorman or Plordir or Dirxpl or Filxpl?

Okay, time for a short feedback. Thanks for storming your brains and producing such a vast pool of ideas. I currently, however, prefer a name that I found myself: FlexyFiles (and already registered the domain, just in case: http://www.flexyfiles.com/). For me, this name fulfills all my criteria mentionend in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 632#p52632 (it even has the XY in it :) ).

But the TAFKAX contest has not stopped yet. Find something better than FlexyFiles and you win!

Makes me think it's a utility that examines files for certain qualities, like what codec is used or compression factors, etc..maybe adding "M" into it, such as "FileManalyzer"? which gets the "mana"ger component?

Criticism of FlexyFiles -- abbreviating it to FF would be confusing as that is an abbreviation that is commonly used for Firefox.

I think FilesDirector is better 8) It ticks all but the "contains-XY-in-the-name" requirements.

Apart from being not better IMO, a "FileDirector" already exists (Document-Manager) -- this rules it out completely.
