Hey...go right ahead and single me out! I don't mind at all!
My main points were:
1) If it an't broke, don't fix it...and it ain't really broke at the moment.
2) If there is a choice of how to do it, using left-click/tap is (I believe) somewhat preferable to right...I'm not at all saying it's undesirable (IMO) to have functions use right, just that, if possible, to use left, ok? Some other people I've talked to over years feel the same way...

Ah! those are perfectly valid points.

That's it! I'm going back to Windows Explorer!

You added this button and it works perfectly, but there's no little arrow on the icon so I know the default left click action displays a menu. And that has absolutely destroyed my week!

How inconsistent and awful of you! Good riddance!

:P

But seriously, aside from the missing arrow, it's perfect. Thanks Don!

You know, just for the record : that little arrow doesn't usually mean a menu will be popup, quite the contrary in fact : it means a left-click will trigger an action, but you can click on that little arrow instead to get a menu.
Like Back: press it to go back, or the arrow to popup the History. So here, it would mean pressing the button would go to My Computer, and pressing the arrow would popup the menu.

You know, just saying... ;)

That's what that arrow means, but I'm talking about the other arrow. :P I mean the icon overlay arrow like Hotlist, List Management, Sort By, Drives, etc. have.

Oh, right, that arrow! I don't have any button with such arrow so I had completely forgotten about that one! My bad. Okay, you're right to go back to Explorer then ;)

I'm not sure if I like the arrows at all! What about simply removing them all...

To be honest, I like them and it seems to be standard convention if the icon's default action is a menu.

I concur with TheQwerty on this...plus I don't see any harm/downside in those arrows, so I'd keep them...it helps as reminder of which icons are menu ones vs action ones as stated.

As I said, I don't happen to use any of those buttons, but I do think that the arrow makes sense, and helps identifying which buttons "does something" and which pops up a menu.

Okay, arrows stay.
