DropStack Coolness...

Code: Select all

v15.10.0002 - 2015-05-06 12:25
+++ Toolbar: Droppable User Buttons + Paper Folders = Drop Stacks!
       1. Create a new Paper Folder, just for fun call it "DropStack".
       2. Add a new User Button to the Toolbar, and set its Name field to
"paper:DropStack" (w/o quotes). Leave all other fields empty (or set
the Icon if you feel like it).
       3. Done! Now you can drag-drop items to that button and they will be
added to DropStack. At any time click the button to go to DropStack.
This is my new favorite thing!!!
Thanks for adding it!!

Incidentally, I've been using Paper Folders quite a bit lately. Very nice tool.

Hello,
I'm a little lost with the new functions. I supposed they will be more precisely explained on official page ? I had to go here to find how to use the DropStack (very very cool feature).

I saw this page but there is no "how to" information. "Link View" is complete mystery to me. I suppose I will have to search in the forum.

Code: Select all

+ Thumbnails: Experimentally added a "read only" (or "view only" or "cache
only" ... work in progress) mode for thumbnails:
      - Only thumbnails present in the thumbnails cache are shown.
      - Missing thumbnails are NOT automatically created.
      - The benefit: Ultra-fast browsing in thumbnails views in any location!

Code: Select all

v15.20.0104 - 2015-05-21 15:43
+ Configuration | Styles: Added "Show Age maximum hours (0 = unlimited)".
That's a phantastic little usability booster. Thanks, TheQuerty and Don! :appl: :appl:

Cheers,

Code: Select all

v15.20.0106 - 2015-05-22 15:23
+ Tweak AgeDecimalPlaces got an additional value to show a smart and
      friendly age format:
        AgeDecimalPlaces=-1
It will output something like this:
         3 mins, 58 secs
           1 hr, 11 mins
          2 hrs, 55 mins
          12 days, 2 hrs
Very clever!!! Also, it respects how the human brain pictures the flow of time, in a logarithmic fashion.

Wholeheartedly chiming in with the others - the dynamic age format is a smart move towards user-friendly display details. Love it.

Even more thanks and kudos for the new thumbs caching feature. A tremendous time saver that also opens up completely new approaches to thumbs management. Much easier to differentiate foreign material from own stuff, to stay abreast of updated content and to avoid flooding precious cache keepers with unwanted stuff.

Uh, what is it that everybody is loving here? "Show Age maximum hours", or the tweaked "3 mins, 58 secs" format?
