I just dragged a handful of media files to PotPlayer v1.6.53104, both x86 and x64. No problems at all....

Can you please please please focus on this issue for the next release? There are so many applications that I can't drag files into from XY: Skype, PotPlayer, SUMo, etc. It's a giant hassle constantly having to open an explorer window to workaround.

Seems like a ton of people have the same issue, although for some others it works fine.

Me setup is:
Windows 8.1 Pro (64)
XYPlorer 15.20 (32...cough,cough

) - running as user
Skype 7.4.0.102 (32) - icon even changes when dragging into the app but nothing happens on mouseup
PotPlayer 1.6.54133 (64) - icon even changes when dragging into the app but nothing happens on mouseup
SUMo 3.13.8.262 (32) - icon doesn't even change when dragging onto the app

(Note that none of the above applications are running as admin).

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help troubleshoot (I come from a pretty good programming background as well).

Thanks so much for focusing on this!

The good news is that it appears to be fixed in most cases.

The bad news is it still doesn't work in PotPlayer x64. Any ideas?

Tried with one file and with multiple. The cursor changes but nothing happens on mouse release.

Now dropping from XY to MPC-HC x64 works fine

I tested a little by downloading the portable versions of PotPlayer here: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=2483

Drag&Drop from XY works with the 32 bit version but not the 64 bit version.

To verify it isn't an issue with the 64 bit version of PotPlayer I tried dragging from a few other 32 bit apps (Windows Explorer [32], Filezilla) and they worked.
