Wouldn't be a problem for me if the wiki was hosted by Don at wiki.xyplorer.com ; and regarding FTP access I could just bother Don on occasion if needed :P but it's a wiki, so usually most of the work can be done from within the browser, so it shouldn't be such a problem for us to keep maintaining the wiki even hosted by Don, I think.

Also note that (if/)when we'll have a way to turn it into a offline help system, if I'm hosting it I could give Don FTP access, DB dumps, w/e needed of couse.

A friend just pointed me to ikiwiki, a thingie that converts wiki source to static pages. Guess that with some perl hacking you could graft a db-acces layer in front of it to get the wiki source off MySQL, and then turn the static pages into a .chm file. Sounds like a bit of work, tough...

The wiki is getting better and better! :D

I'd like to add some pics to it, but how? :?

Okay this is easy:

But how/where to upload the pic file?

There's a link on the bottom of the "bar" on the left. The very last panel (toolbox, under the search box) has a link "Upload file" ;)

I would love to see a collection of commonly used or handy RegExp list. Unfortunately i have no time to learn this. But a compilation of common Regexps in wiki would be handy. Or even in a XY interface somewhere by default. I know this is very broad wish, but could be handy if someone who is well versed with RegExp could put it up.

I started to put my more complex RegExps in the wiki and some explanation with it and I'm sure planning to extend this list with all future interesting RegExp.

I'll happily add a "Hints" button to any RegExp-able XY interface, that pops up a number of handy RegExps with short explanation. So, please give me the RegExps you want to see under that button (I'm myself too ignorant to decide).

I would want to see it in the interface. That way i will get to know some basic RegExp too. :)

Saw the recent toolbar graphics that were added to wiki...looks really nice! :D

When I have a bit of time, I've been scanning various parts looking for typos and such, and fixing them...as well as making very minor changes when I think it would help make it more readable and/or understandable.
If anyone doesn't agree with my text changes, let me know (PM or usertalk) so we can work on it and make it even better, ok? 8)

I'll admit to cheating a little bit  in last set of changes! I used the Form SpellCheck in Google Toolbar to highlight the most suspect items and then fix as needed...y'all "non-English as primary language" folks might want to try it...it has settings for German and French also

And I had a good  at your list of easilly made boo-boo's!

:D Actually, there hasn't been any additions lately, I just re-made the page so the pictures (TB buttons) are now uploaded to the wiki through its "Upload file" feature, which is much better. ;)

ditto that! :D

Yeah, I made a couple of changes, like the tips & those blue info box indeed! Glad you like them :D

Now the <tip> tag can have an optional parameter title (eg: <tip title="title goes here">here's the tip</tip>) and when it does, the box is centered, width=80% and the title in shown on 1st line in bold. Otherwise, no title, no fixed width and align to the left.

And along with that - and working the same way - there's the <infos> tag for those blue box, and actually, there's even another kind of box, red one, for important notice and such (<important>), it's working but not used yet ;)
