That reminds me of the very popular tag line from a recent TV commercial here for Old Spice -- "I'm on a horse!"

It appears that Don went for a scrumptious blonde that looks so thrilled about using XYplorer on her MacBook  -- she probably just deployed Boot Camp specifically for that task -- that her perfectly-manicured nails instinctively drift to her lips

P.S. Can we have one each (retrospectively) per XYplorer Lifetime License purchase?

Yep, she's very likable IMO. She's there to represent the notion of flexibility, and I think she does a good job.

I know I'm using that old IE6 so things may not show as intended because of it but just wanted Don to know how the "Take The Tour" seal appears here:
SS - 10-12-10 @ 14-12-07001.jpg

If seal were moved down a bit so that it'd not obscure the "File Manager" at least in IE6, it would still look ok on other browsers as well...the fact that square isn't transparent is a limitation of IE6 I think so that doesn't matter as much as the overlay of FM.

Ugh, bad! There should be some other problems as well on the site because I use transparent PNGs also in other places. You really should upgrade... (I have no time to support older browsers).

Can you please convince corporate IT of this crazy idea of upgrading away from obsolete, easily exploitable, extremely outdated, and just damn frustrating to use web browsers? :P

It scares me that corporate IT might see my website without PNG transparency... are there other embarrasing non-transparent or otherwise distorted places on my homepage which I maybe should spend time on just not to shock potential customers away?

Well corporate IT won't, they all use Firefox or Chrome, but most of the managers that would have to approve the PO may.

I'll have to get back to you. The badge that j_c pointed out is the only one I notice on the front page.

I never realized just how extensive the main site has gotten...

You might be interested in giving https://browserlab.adobe.com a try. It kind of sucks and forces you to register, but it's better than the 502 you get from http://browsershots.org/.
There's also Microsoft's virtual machines for the various IE version: https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/ ... laylang=en

I lied about the front page, the transparency on the undo/redo badge is also noticeable, and not as bad is the shadow on the review boxes.

A quick glance at the main pages/tabs reveals these:

There's also a link to jacky's now defunct server on the portable page (sorry I forgot where that was).

I know I'm on the trailing edge here! But from the TWIT IRC, it seems there are companies on it as well so I may likely not be the only one back there...

That's why all I asked for as a quick compromise "solution" was to move the seal a bit down enough so that gray box doesn't obscure the "FM" text...ok, so it still won't look as you intended, but it won't look as bad either...and it shouldn't be a problem to have seal down a bit there for newer browsers.

Not only companies still using it, but companies also continuing to ship and require IE6 on their Windows based products. Even worse, some only have the tiniest bits of plans to move to 7 or Server 2008, which would force the change.

Thanks a lot! I guess I'll try to hide most of this stuff for <= IE6. No time for a complete redesign for an outdated browser.
