Yeah, sure. But it's really about that accessing an already open tab with a mapped drive or UNC path
can take long (and leads to an: application is not responding title bar). It's not about that the first
access takes time.

No, but I didn't had enough time to do real tests, my graphic card died and I'm currently working on my second pc which doesn't do a lot of network activity...
The new one will probably arrive on monday.

The "DGL ASOTF" line is the first access to the UNC path while XY is running (and no other access through e.g. Windows Explorer before).
Ofc this is fine, it's the first access.

But when the problem occurs (end of log, 8 seconds timeout), the log doesn't provide any (more) details about why it happened

1. Yeah. It's normally a switch to \\ODROID-N2\dlna\movies
If it's made available as a mapped drive letter, the same issue exists when accessing that instead
It's on a tiny server and the share is on an SSD, so there is no spin up time (hdd) involved

2. Not 100% sure when this issue came up first. I'd say it exists since ~6 weeks but that's a vague guess
