That's expected. The Tip of the day container is actually an instance of IE. If you click links inside IE they will always be followed within IE, not FF even if FF is default browser.
The Help menu items OTOH call up a new browser instance, and this will be the default browser.

Was just curious, the links come in the form of "about:§§§3" now, and more important - everything works as expected now.

P.S.: I really appreciate your stubbornness when it comes to fixing bugs, even if half the active community is telling you not to bother anymore...

BTW, the solution was not that fancy "§§§" part but the correct position of a certain internal command. Microsoft apparently changed the order of processing here from IE6 to IE7. Happens in the best families...
