 Just a FYI: That last beta (6.50.01) was just too much to do yesterday based on my other time needs, so for first time that I know of, my blog update will be delayed by a day or so...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Oh, it needed to be that long to be descriptive, but it was just bad timing, as I'm quite busy at cottages right now, plus had to do some other tasks, so it's ok...just wanted to point out reason why in case someone wondered what happened as it's quite unusual for me to not have it updated within a few hours of beta typically.

Finally got that big update done, and blog current! Not only was it lengthy, but it (and another one) had various <base> type things, which had to be converted to <base> to show up correctly. :P Almost missed a couple of those...but think I got them all..

Ah yes, poor fellow -- I hope you have some software that does the converting for you!

 Nope! It's all manual! :P Each and every < and > when used in pairs...but at least I can use pastes to avoid too much typing...and...then to make the few indents, I have to paste in a &nbsp;&nbsp; on each line, mainly the examples.

What I have to do after pasting the main body is convert the font to courier, then I can add the bullet points, and then remove all excess spaces to make line wrap look correct on each line...

All of this could be automated. Unfortunately I'm just busy writing a file manager, otherwise...

Hi jc, the latest update must have been a horror for you, all those < and >. You did very well with one exception: If you set the Clone field to <curitem>...

Thanks, man!

 Missed that one as it was within a sentence...sorry! I did it late last nite so it would go out in email...
And it wasn't as much the "<" and ">", but the indenting to make a column style layout...I had to use numerous &nbsp; to get it close to yours...

It looks perfect.

I don't know what possibilities you have in the blog context, but generally the <pre> </pre> tag will save you from adding all those &nbsp;

Just a quick update on the blog stats:
There are now a full dozen user email subscribers, since Don and myself only get it to verify contents...here's the basic stats:
Sep added 4 users,
Oct added 1 user,
Nov added 2 users,
Dec added 5 users.

 I should have noticed this also! I just always cut/paste it and rarely check it...and after I post it, the list of posts is shown so I'll try to remember to look for "oops dups" in future, but no promises...

Update:I also now realized that on some prior entries, any "|"s may have been lost in the switch from Compose mode to HTML mode in Blogger, such as when used in "Config | Advanced", etc...I have to manually reinsert them and if I didn't notice them missing, I didn't do so...and Don didn't see 'em missing either.

John, I don't know what kind of manual conversions you have to do for publishing each new change log, but if it is systematic "change all X to Y" kind of stuff, tell me and I write a converter for you.

My touchpad finger got a real workout this morning! I just spent the last 3 or so hours going back thru all the beta posts that were used to create blog entries, finding any "|" and updating the blog for missing ones...I probably updated about 90 or so entries.
This problem actually went back to the beginning of the blog, and I'm   :( that I (or anyone esle) hadn't seen it until now! Maybe it was because of the extra indent editing or number of them lately that made me spot it.

It's not a real problem now that I know to look for it! When I paste the text into the blog entry area, I have to use the HTML tab, and then I have to switch to Compose tab which allows me to set font, add the item "dots", and remove extra spacing...I then have to go back to HTML to add any needed indents and some other minor edits on occasion...so I don't see any quick/easy way to generate needed HTML...you just worry about the code and I'll handle the blog, ok? 8)

BTW, I'm up to a total of 18 email subscribers (which is 16 users, as I and Don don't count).. :D Glad to know it's being used!!
