Ulrik's hard work, you mean.
I have just read through the tutorial and it is very good and informative. I have made some comments, but in the main they are very minor points of grammar.

I do feel that this task is enormous and as XYP is so feature rich, you might never finish it! From a personal stand point I hope you do as I have already gained a lot from this tutorial - well done!

Thanks all for your feedback!

The tutorial will have a slight makeover in next weekend, (updated to the next official release and some more chapters added.)

PS. Thanks Graham for the grammar check. :) I will correct this soon...

Update 2007-10-14:

I have slightly updated the tutorial to cover the new XY release.

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for my new Internet access at home... sigh... has moved to new flat so the new chapters for wait until mid or end of next week.

A new chapter is published

Post by ugus »

This chapter covers the backup feature.

A small roadmap of the tutorial:

Chapter 13 will cover some more options in XYplorer to do copy operations.
Chapter 14 will cover Delete in Xyplorer. (Both the standard ways and the Nuke command)
Chapter 15 and 16 will cover the Rename feature in XYplorer.

May aim is to complete these chapters until next weekend. Some polish of the existing chapters will also be done.

Cheers Ulrik

Fantastic, Ulrik! You explain it so good, that even I learn about my program. No joke.

Thanks! :D

Yeah, I have got some feedback in this forum and from Graham who helped me to correct some grammar .

Unfortunately I do not I have so much time to spend on this tutorial but I'll take small steps at each time so the tutorial grows...and it will be more comprehensive...

Hi ugus,

nice tutorial you are working on. I didn't know about the "Drop Text" feature yet :)

Keep up the good work!

So long...

Hummm... :? Wonder what happened? Maybe he moved it to another location? I doubt he would have just killed it off, given all the work he did on it...anyway, as you pointed out, it appears to be gone as of now...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

The blog is deleted at the moment... but will probably be up later this month. I will update the contents and update it with more comprehensive content.
