I get no error message. The custom context menu pops up, but when I click on Shell Context Menu... nothing happens.

Does 5.60.0006 work any better?

Unfortunately not. Same behavior.

Okay, looks like Vista hit me this time. Bye bye shell menu. This round goes to Vista.

Code: Select all

v5.60.0009 - 11.02.07 12:53
! Vista issue with drag-n-drop context menu... tried something else.
Woohoo :!: I now get a context menu with Copy Here and Cancel. I get no Create Shortcut Here, though, like I expect I should, but that may be just because you're still experimenting??

YeeHaa, you have done it again. I also get the context menu.

Nothing stops you, does it?

Thanks.

Yes, what a nice way to describe a little bug. It's fixed already.

The truth is: Nothing stops Timo Kunze (http://www.timosoft-software.de), the Jedi Knight of Drag'n'Drop! He helped me with this tricky stuff the first time and he did again. :D

That's great. Thank him for us. :)

However, I just found out that NVidia is NOT going to support their NForce 2 and NForce 3 motherboards in Vista. (What a dumb move!) :(

It was bad enough that I had no drivers for my printer, scanner, mouse, etc., but no support for the motherboard, well, that's it for Vista.

I will NOT upgrade my perfectly working hardware for Vista.

Now I see what they mean by Vista's hidden costs!

Sorry for ranting.

No problems to report in Vista

Oddly, I've had no problems in Vista with XYplorer. The only thing I've noticed is that the preview window background is very light, but that's common to the Vista UI, since it's the same in many other programs. I have Aero turned off (not impressed; doesn't make me more productive). Spend any time in Vista Explorer, and you'll certainly have a new appreciation for the million decisions that makes XYplorer work so well.

You mean when dragging out of XYplorer? Yep, this is the only bug I admit I cannot fix. I tried this several times over many years. I finally gave up.
