Error in Floating preview

This happens for every preview type, regardless if it's the preview pane, floating preview, preview tab in the info panel...

The error happens immediately, and with .doc, .docx, xls, xlsx, pdf, maybe others but I don't have it with e.g. a .pptx (PowerPoint) document
For Office documents in most cases the text extraction (no format, no pictures) is still displayed but sometimes XYTB dies afterwards (and silently).
.pdf files show that error as well but then display the normal formatted preview content

 Addendum: 708 doesn't fix anything in that regard, same error on the same files

My error for Floating Preview on a gif file looks like this:

Yes Don, it was an annimated gif which you already knew does not work on MDBU either.
