I'm waiting more than year for Drag and Drop into skype.
Right now I tested with 15.00.0115 (portable) and latest Skype 7.2.60.103, Windows 8.1 with admin profile. Drag and Drop into skype doesn't work.
I have lifetime license but can't use xyplorer because the issue.

Did you try to drop just one file? If yes, how big was it?

Sure, I tried to drop some .png files separately, from 5 to 330 Kb, .txt file 13 Kb etc.

OK, that's a useful bit of information to me. I'm working on this, it's (obviously) difficult. But I know what to do now, just have to find the way.

Reporting in to say i have also been experiencing this issue with the latest version of PotPlayer, while other file browsers are still working, i can not drag any files from XY to PotPlayer. (nothing happens when i release the mouse.)
I contacted PotPlayer support and got the very terse response of "That is not problem of PotPlayer~~"
This is an issue that i find really irritating, as drag and drop is a big part of my workflow.

i dont know how relevant or helpful this is, but i got a reply from the potplayer developer after asking what might be the issue.
I think...
That is privilege problem...
If PotPlayer run as admin right, your file browser run as admin right.
He is Korean.. so english is not the best.

I tried it two years ago. It didn't help.
Also I want to say that your competitors works fine with skype w/o any games with admin permissions.
