Hi,

I have to chime in again.

I also think, there must be Tab in the name. Not only because I consider the term viewset much to unspecific (for instance, to me this means something more generic like a layout).
But more important, the name has to reflect/emphasize the feature's uniqueness as long it is there. And since we already have folder view settings and Tabsets in XY, a more pronounced naming is needed.

BTW Don, how will the "??? Tabs" functionwise align with FVSs and Tabsets?

Cheers,
Filehero

FVS: the loaded tab will overwrite any FVS for that folder.
Tabsets: the loaded tab will be a normal part of the tabset. Once loaded it has no special status at all.

all my variants were just pieces of discussion. Don didn't say a word about them being good, so my strange "names-thinking" will stay with my, don't worry. :P

Permanently or just for the session (will it automatically overwrite existing folder view settings with Save-settings-on-exit=ON)?

Again, permanently or just for the session (will it automatically overwrite...)?

eil, no worries, for my part I did know that all the time.

I just wanted to provoke some more broader feedback. Luckily, I don't have to care for marketing issues but for user-usable functions only.

1. Overwrite in the sense of "ignore FVS on loading the tab". Stored FVS will not be changed.
2. It will behave just as if you added that tab manually.
