Coordinates... yeah :)

I also think XYplorer/Xyplorer is not too hard to remember, neighboring letters... plus the old plorer. (By the way: the etymologic lexicon says that the "plore" in explore originally referred to hunting cries!)

I still like iksplorer and yxplorer as well, but they don't work in the auditive channel.

I don't like iksplorer that mutch. yxplorer "seems" a little easyer on the eyes 8) . But if i had to choose, i'd go for XYplorer.
But that's just me....

How would you pronounce it when you are forced to say it aloud?

In German ksiplorer or ksüplorer.

If asked for the "official" pronounciation I would say: [ksiplorer]. English speakers think "sexyplorer" to get the sound right

If it's not too late, I think XYplorer rather than Xyplorer, don't forget there is already an XPlorer & xplorer² (these have already been confused). I also think it makes it sound better (at least in English). XYplorer rather forces me to say X Y plorer where as Xyplorer I would pronounce as ziplorer.

I see the new web site is up and running.

Absolutely! As you see on http://www.xyplorer.com/ I'm already focusing on the XY. Last not least XY are also the male chromosomes...

So it's gonna be XYplorer (friends just call it XY). And nobody will confuse it because it's the only file manager with a big Y ("Why"? )!
