Very good news ! This will allow you to add a long claimed feature : double tree for double pane.
This is your very personal wish, and it may come as an option.
I come from Total Commander and always use double pane in TC and XY,
but I never miss a double tree.
I have it in TC since many versions, but never use it.
Most of the time, there is no need for any tree at all, and I switch it off.
There are tools like Everything, Favorites and tabs for fast going to certain locations
in both file managers.

My tree is my drive and rapid access bar. ^^
I can't wait for the migration to begin. (who recognizes the club hit this is based on?)

Since there are some hopes shared, i wonder: may it happen after migration UI may become more flexible?(like full internal darkmode, including scrolls; or an ability to dock internal elements in whatever order, like XnViewer allows)

A short update: At the moment there are still 8 bugs to be fixed in twinBASIC, then XY should be fully executable and compilable there, as far as I can see at the moment.

Don, any concern for twinBasic being proprietary, i.e. not open source?
It seems it's currently free but the developer has plans to charge for it.

Don't worry, I have a license, and it's a win-win.

Hi Don,
HO-LY CRAP!
you know I started using XY in 2009 (gosh... just checked again...), Lifetime Licence was just as it is now... Might actually have been on discount that time, I honestly don't remember anymore.
XY was Version 8.50-ish, and - holy crap - did it evolve in those 15 1/2 years.
When I started, I just saw the potential in XY and your dedication and this was the reason I decided to invest. Wish I'd have such luck when investing in shares, I'd be rich.
And now I'm getting an XYplorer Version for my Smartphone (Android), too?
I'm really curious, how it's going to work out. But definitely enjoying the update if you do.
Yours,
Garonne

Just a short update: it's taking longer than I thought. The speed of twinBASIC development has slowed down drastically, I don't know why. I'm ready to migrate at any time, but for now we just have to wait for twinBASIC.

Don't worry, I'm not missing out anything over there.

This version did not contain any bug fixes for the bugs I reported.
