Keep in mind Don that there are 7 different statuses (3 main ones), the MS ones are stored in version number labelled folders, in a x64 dll, you can get the GUIDs from ShellIconOverlays reg key that leads to the dll.

Yep, that works. Helped me fin the way to the Google Drive cloud icon:

In the meantime you can use Color Filters to show the OneDrive file status (the property number for "Availability status" may be different on your system):

These color filter definitions use the literal text output of the Availability Status property column to color-code the list items. Note that the patterns shown assume that this property is #303*. It may be a different number on your system. Also, the texts may differ slightly depending on your version of Windows, and they will differ dramatically if your Windows uses a language other than English.

Suggest a roundness percentage.

Percent of what? Height of colored rectangle? Text size? x-height? Column width? ...

As a reference: MS Lists.

So when you set it to max (100) you get a half circle on the left and right side of the box (if it has landscape ratio).

I noticed one other thing. In dark mode, the rounded corners are much more visible (as are the color filters).
I will just switch the work computer to dark mode as well. Then that should take care of that.

However, I don't really understand it.

303 is the correct id on your system?
Synchronisiert / Nicht synchronisiert are the correct terms in Windows Explorer when you hover over the status column for such files?
