Well, "workaround"... this is how HTML works. It's the "work".
I'll try to avoid these > and < things in the history where I can...

Now that I realize how to correct the problem, it's not that big of a deal...I was just a bit surprised when the WISIWYG editor in "Compose" mode didn't automatically convert them to < and > for HTML mode which I'd have expected, as some other editors do...

You're now one of 5 'normal' (Don doesn't count!

) subscribers to this update email...I try my best to get it updated shortly after there's a new beta...some times it's been within a hour, some times it's been closer to day...it all depends time of day when Don posts it to forum and when next I'm on my PC...there will be a few days each year when I'm away from home and then I'll do it whenever I get a chance.

Hi jc, in the recent blog, in the sentence "and you backup them today to E:\Backup\ _________" the part "<dyyyy-mm-dd>" became invisible because it's treated as HTML tag.
should be written
<dyyyy-mm-dd>

I was doing it in a hurry this morning, and didn't notice that! Sorry!
And THANKS for noticing it and letting me know!

I've fixed it now.
That's what happens when
you use HTML style tags...it can catch
me in the blog.

It just feels so good to spot a bug in the work of others for a change

Well, I thank you for doing this blog! I'm really keeping you busy right?

But you knew that before...
Also, again, a
big thanks for promoting XYplorer to
Windows Weekly -- this 5 minutes podcast talk brought about 20 (and rising) customers to my shores, most of them cleverly opting for the Lifetime License!

Hey, it was
my pleasure! I was talking to someone about what I spent time doing these days and told them about my devotion to XY...she asked if I was getting paid...when I said no, she said "What??? Why not??"...I said I was having fun doing it as it makes some good use of my technical background skills that had been idleing for a while...
And perfect timing in reply, as I was just wondering if you noticed any spike in sales due to that TWIT/ww mention...doesn't that make three mentions in widespread web that I've helped with? Langa List, TWIT/ww, and Gizmo's newletters? Or am I in error on that last one?
BTW, I sent a msg to Leo today via chat during his radio show telling him about UDC, but not sure if he saw it, as he was quite busy...I also made a $20 donation to TWIT site just for the fun of having
my name mentioned! So consider that an indirect donation to your cause also, ok?
Addendum: Because it was on Windows Weekly podcast, a link to XY also now appears at
http://www.winsupersite.com/paul/podcast.asp so yet another link that may help...

I just was in chat with Leo (and 200+ other people!) while he was on break with radio show...I gave him thanks from both of us, and the 20+ sales numbers as he then asked how successful it was...I sent another about UDC which he acknowledged via voice that he'd look at blog for info on it.

Some of those static parts of blog setup are normally not looked at when I'm adding the almost daily updates! I just updated it now to the correct amts...Sorry 'bout that!
I also updated the download links this morning to 6.50 from 6.40, so those were already checked as part of adding "official" release...

Oh, I know how hard it is to keep such little things up-to-date... reality is always a step ahead.
