Good job Ugus!
Thanks!

Ugus, I want to thank you too.

The tutorial is really very helpful for beginners like me.

GREAT WORK!

Part 8 (Previewed Formats and File Info Tips tab) is up now. Only one tab left on the Configuration, and hopefully that tab will be finished tomorrow evening.

http://vbatips.wordpress.com/2007/09/09 ... -tips-tab/

I will hopefully (if I got the time tomorrow evening...) also do a tiny revision of the previous published chapters.

After that I will describe file operations in XY...

j_c_hallgren, if you got the time :) I would really appreciate if you check the english in the tutorial (you are also welcome to submit any feedback on the contents... )

ungus/ulrik: I'll try and check it when I can...my time will be a bit more available now as the summer rental season is almost over, and that's when I have to work outside more...of course, now I'll need to do some repairs but I should have some time at night to review...

I'll be more than happy to help make those as perfect as possible! :D

Besides, at some point, I may need some help translating some Swedish documents into English, and you may be of use for that....

Just posted the 10th part of the tutorial. The very, very first little part about the file operations in XYplorer.

To be continued, next weekend....

Great, man! :D

You could explain why some paths in the destinations list have icons, and some not. (Because they are not existing in the current host system -- typical situation for a portable file manager)

One can also state relative paths (..\..\blah\blub\), did you now?

Hey, do you backup this stuff somewhere? I hope that blog is a safe data storage...

Thanks!

I will update the 10th part soon, and I will cover relative paths
:)

I have done simple backups myself...in case their should not work...

This part of the tutorial is corrected and now also covers relative paths. :)
More parts will be created this weekend, stay tuned.

Great! You make XY looking real good! I'm impressed by the features myself... :D

Thanks!

I've just tested the new beta, looks that I have to rewrite the Configuration parts

PS. I will wait a while to rewrite it until the next official release will come out...

Just now catching up (been tending to sick wife who's gone through four surgeries) — this is a fantastic reference! Thanks for all the hard work, Don.

Ulrik's hard work, you mean.

Sorry for your wife, hope she's better!
