How to get Outlook.msg files to preview "natively" in XY

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work, even with a tweaked preview handler entry...

Sorry that it was embedded in a post on a separate issue.
If any one can test it and let me know how to proceed I would appreciate it.

@highend: Thanks for trying. I had only weak hopes anyway. The web is full of reports about failing MSG previews. It seems to be really tricky.


@brianhuahin: Well, highend tried it but failed. Unfortunately MSG preview still refuses to work.

Hi Guys

Its pretty obvious that I am out of my depth.
I have used FreeCommander recently and trialed Directory Opus and they have solved the problem.
Take heart there is a solution out there.

I also have Office with Outlook 2007 installed but I fear I am sorely under equipped to assist in any trial.
Given the appropriate instructions you can use my system as a trial installation but Highend seems at better bet.

Previewing the same .msg file in Windows Explorer works fine.
And just to make sure, other 32-bit apps work as well I've installed
xplorer²
FreeCommander XE
and both render the .msg file in their preview fine as well

I've setup a new VM, exactly same settings but this time without Quick View Plus

Take a look at the gif animation, please. XY can decode the message successfully but it switches back to a raw view after
a split second

Let me know if this is still the case in the next beta...

Can't say for sure. It seems it tries to render it (before it shows the raw data it builds a framed view (one smaller at the top, a larger body part).
But the switch back to raw is to fast, I don't see the rendered message...
