But you know, Lightroom is a Raw developer NOT a graphics editor?!

I mean you can do standard graphic editing but you need an existing image to work on (note, you can't create a new image from scratch!). When it's about making montages, stacks (it has NO layers) you soon will be lost.

I do have AL and PhotoLine for a reason.

Yes, I know. It's exactly what I need. Colors, contrast, sharpness. Right?

Hmm, now I'm totally confused. Afaik, Photoshop has exactly the same raw engine as Lightroom (Camera Raw) but a less stremlined workflow on top of it. Anyway, I would go for Lightroom, it's worth any cent.

I have a very old Photoshop 7. No RAW support. But still my Photoshop 7 is -- contradictio in adjecto -- a good Adobe product. And I know it very well.

It's not primarily about looking good but creating output that is looking good.

Though I've never used it yet, RT has made significant progress the last two years.

I nevertheless recommend to look up the web for some tests on what converter does currently handle Fuji's X-Trans CMOS* best. This raw format is still on the more exotic side exhibiting bigger differences between the competitors. Even better: Make a short list and spend some time to try them.

Yes, the X100T with Fuji's X-Trans CMOS.

It looks like the current AL can handle the data well (older versions had issues).

For RT I'm not sure yet, the info is unclear.

Try them both. It's two afternoons. It's worth the effort.
Take some critical (I always use landscape and some high iso noisy ones) and compare where you get more pleasing results faster.

Or if you rather like to spend the time on progressing XY, then simply get AL (its THE workflow king anyway, imo) and have RT as a backup.

More tipps: spend initial (reading) time on

- grasping the basic AL paradigm. Yes, it's a db-based system, and yes, you can't simply open an image for editing. But together with the preset system you can perfectly adapt it to your needs respecting any pre-existing physical folder layouts and so forth

- AL's template and preset system; it is great and a huge time saver throughout the workflow once you've got it

- synchronisation options (AL's alternative cool way of batch processing where existing presets don't help much)

- and yes, the keyword/tag database

Yup! Incredibly sharp, great colors. Still learning the buttons. My way of snapping is based on speed. Still waiting for my thumb rest -- camera not good to hold without one.

Yes, I bought the Lensmate thumb grip myself from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-X100S-Th ... thumb+grip Though I see that one doesn't fit the "T" model. Expensive for a hunk of metal, but it's a very good tight slip fit. I also bought the step down ring adapter, hood and UV filter recommended by the KenRockwell site though I don't use the hood...it adds too much bulk.
