, wiki master, but I think this info box should be obsolete now:
"It is very important that you put the last backslash ( \ ) when specifying folders' path/names ..."
XY will provide the backslash if it's missing so you don't have to care!
I'm afraid you also need a new screen shot for the Edit dialog... because the Applied settings have been changed today. Upload comes in a minute...
Yeah, I know, plus some settings are now tabwise & not global also so that will need editing as well, "it's on my list" as someone around here says
I also have still other things to do, such as the whole "define app data on command line" thing, on my list as well

Yeah, I didn't want anyone to use that command, so I kept it for my eyes only
(Actually, I think I pressed Enter when I shouldn't have and validated changes for an empty page earlier, my bad. Has been fixed now, sorry about that...

)

I thought you wanted to test me and check whether I look into the wiki from time to time.

during some recent searches found out that
curbase
self
are not indexed in the wiki
Calude
and I was thinking about a script that could lift a selected word in xys script and search for the word in the help and the wiki
would help a lot for the scripting newbies analyzing scripts

Generate HTML report seized to work, maybe caused by some recent syntax changes?
Tried to figure out myself what's wrong, but not being an HTML crack to no avail.
Only the first file is put in the table, all the rest is in plain text below the table??
Thanks in advance for fixing it.

Right

, silly little bug there that went unnoticed at first due to a bug in XY (favoring additions over subtractions). Fixed, thanks.

he kindly gave me the wiki backups, and I'm still making up my mind about whether to put it up again or not.
I wanted to vote for an new wiki on Dons server.
Or should we collect money for an new server for jacky?

The problem is: The wiki is frozen at v7.90. I don't see the necessary combination of spare time, commitment, and ability in any of my users (including me) to update the wiki and ensure its progress at the same quality level. The last years have sufficiently proven that the wiki was a project where one man worked for the profit of many others (although the others were repeatedly invited to contribute). Since jacky's attention moved on to other things the wiki is dead IMO.

I had already said that much of the wiki was/is a bit dated..but..it did provide a place where we could put reference info that maybe isn't in the help files or XY site and/or not easily re-findable in forum so for that purpose alone, it's valuable to have it.
Just last night I was looking for something that I was sure was in the wiki, and there are likely hundreds of links to it from posts here so without it, the value of those posts as reference is gone also.
Am I able to contribute a lot of time & effort to help keep it updated? Not during the summer and with my vision limitations, even off-season is rather limited but having it as a place to 'store' stuff is still quite handy.
There are places where having an alternate explanation in other wording is all that is needed to help out a newer user...keeping certain parts of it up-to-date are almost a losing battle but those can be clearly marked as such and other parts make up for it...so I think it's definitely something to retain!

Sure I agree it would be nice if it happened, but the recent years clearly proved that it will not happen. Additionally the recent "tendency to proliferate" (to keep it as generic as possible) notable in the forum here translates into the threat that the wiki -- if it changes at all -- will rather get bigger than better. And I have not a single spare second left to care for the wiki.
