I haven't had tons of time to play with the new DUAL yet as well, but I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it for both dual locations and view settings. Getting ready for another trip across that the big blue pond between us or at least I should be.

Ctrl Enter will save the Favorite and open Customize to further fine-tune or tweak the entry.

To make sure this whole affair stays out of the lives of Borat and LittleBig, they click NEVER once and will never be bothered again. (Reset via ini or Preferences)

Clicking "Not in this session" and "Remember my Choices" will pre-load these settings into Ctrl-B. This is reset upon restarting XY (self-explanatory, I hope)

But... ... I tend to think that Dual Locations should be separated from the normal Favorite Folder. I see a new sub menu "Dual Locations" (also popped by a new toolbar button) under menu Panes:
"Add Current..." would open your dialog, but without the "Path Information" box. Instead there would be just 4 checkboxes: "Ask me again" can be dropped since the option to set an Alias Name should always be given IMO.
ADD: "Remember my choices" can be dropped because in XY choices are always remembered.
"Click Ctrl+OK" can be dropped since this is handled via Manage Dual Locations...

The rest of the dialog just like you designed it.

Was not sure whether you wanted to offer View-settings for conventional favs, too. Other products bundle Single/Dual into the same feature, but no objections to your approach.

Generally, since I added the "DUAL:..." format the user can add Dual Locations to the normal favorites (manually via List Management / Favorite Folders). But I think it's more practical for most users to keep both things apart in the UI. (Of course I can only guess since myself I hardly use dual panes -- maybe I will now ).

I grew up with Norton Commander in the late 80s, and when I am on the road without a mouse, I hit F5 and F6 faster than I can even think about it. It's like driving an automatic, you never worry about clutch pedals or shifting gears - you totally rely on the other pane to do that for you.

So why don't you use Total Commander?

I did. Also Dopus and some weird proprietory stuff no one knows about.
XY has some features I need for a client: Undo and confirm drag 'n drop. Safety ranks high in this case, and the biggest challenge is to get the other XY features out of the way, to make this thing 100% watertight and as uncluttered and clear-cut as possible.

I once issued a special version of XY for disabled users. Everything is possible (but custom versions cost extra, of course).

Amazing. Seems like XY has developed more streaks than what meets the eye.
The disabled option is interesting. The extra cost is no problem (unless it is outrageous), might even save money compared to my hours spent customizing.
Will get back to that later. I am out for today.
