I have set this to 5.
There is a maximum value after which it will not add spacing anymore. I think it's around 10px.

Yes, 12 is the max.

IMO the current default is OK, but it probably makes sense to have this configurable as a setting in the GUI.
Well, most people will never have the idea that this could be configurable and thus not look for it. I'll wait until somebody is screaming for it.
I haven't looked at it lately, but maybe as compromise, could some of these tweaks be documented in Help in a special 'tweak' section if they aren't already? Not everyone is going to search the INI for possible solutions...all it would need in Help is the variable name and the description from INI in most cases.
Well, tweaks combine a lot of meta functions. One is: I don't have to document them officially. Saves me a lot of time that I need for coding.

Aahh, it's like a fresh breeze of air, I can see the sky again.

:appl: Amazing how a little distance can cover miles of usability.

 Sounds like something we could need today at 36°C (love it).

Here's my strategy: Match your computer equipment to your environment. In warm countries I work on machines with blowing fans to simulate open windows, in Northern territories I sit in front of a silent, fanless computer, to enjoy the sylvan solitude.

Although you could probably argue the other way round, too: Use the computer as a radiator to warm cold rooms, whereas in muggy rooms you crank up the ceiling fan to avoid overheating not just your head but the CPU as well.

Hi Don,

if I am remember correctly, this is a wish I already asked for. Maybe now the context is better.

Code: Select all

; Tweak: increase the left tree space in pixels
TreeSpacingLeft=0
Adding some more pixels between the left window border and the left-most area of the tree would be easier on the eye and would make the first/root segment of the tree path stay out much better.

Cheers,
Filehero

Definitely on my wish list, too. In fact, everything that adds more white space - always optional, of course, no one should be forced into wasting space he doesn't have.

Not 100% sure which space you mean. Got a mockup?
