I find the U3 LaunchPad gives a not only a good way to access my apps but also an easy way to manage them.
I've found that PStart and the range of apps on portableapps.com does launching pretty well without the U3 premium...

It certainly wouldn't hurt to be U3 compatible though I guess, as it's another selling point no?
1. What happens when you run XY on U3?
2. How can XY be listed on portableapps.com? (in case you know)
