XY had a tabbed dialog long before you two came on board. It was replaced by the current way because it did not work with the many sections we have now.

I like it the way it is very much. But, could the list on the left have multiple line entries, like for instance in the background job report list (here two lines would suffice)? Otherwise the list itself is becoming a problem in other languages!

But then the list would have to be scrolled. Not good.

Better that, then not to be able to see what some entries are at all about. Your new titles are overlong, when translated, I'm afraid. You'll see and then be able to decide what to do.
