Sorry, but the price on that wiki page is outdated again. Apparently somebody reverted the last update...

The current (since 16-May-2012!) price is US$ 29.95, € 24.95.
And absolutely no need to mention "(Std Pro vers)" -- it's just confusing.

We may disagree on this but since you have more than one vers and thus multiple prices, the need to disclose which vers the Wikipedia price refers to becomes necessary because without that, it's misleading.

I think we may agree on 2 things:
1. Discussing the same point again will not bring anything new.
2. I'm the one in charge here and I roughly know what I'm doing. The "Std Pro vers", or what this term stands for, is the standard default vanilla margarita thing in the world of licenses so it does not need any extra marking. In fact extra marking something implies it is non-default, which is misleading the reader when it is in fact default. Further the term "Std Pro vers" is pretty opaque to anybody not familiar with XY license names which is quite probably true to the vast majority of visitors on this page.

Ok...and for now, I've removed it BUT we DO need something there to indicate that that is not the only price/vers...most other FM's seem to only have one vers so it's not an issue for them...maybe how some ads here in USA state: "$29.95 and up"?

I'm maybe just a bit paranoid about Wikipedian's who would say that just listing one price when that's not only price is "false information" and remove XY entry.

The wiki page is for comparing, and only stating one price makes it comparable.

My question might sound naive, but I'm not a Wikipedia-writer (but a yearly donator, fwiw)): are Wikipedian's really that strange?

I'm wondering what kind of wiki-storms german car brands must face - or Adobe with its Photoshop line-up. Crazy times these days....

I think stating the price of standard license is fair enough. One can always visit XY's webpage to find out more about licenses.
@Don: I never payed attention to the term LIFETIME LICENSE on the page http://www.xyplorer.com/purchase.php.

Technically all licenses are lifetime licenses, its the upgrades that are not lifetime. A casual customer might think the standard licence will expire after a certain given time and XY will stop working. I know you mention in smaller text what each of them means. Least you can do is move the Summary Overview to the top, this is very informative.

I know you don't want to change the terms lifetime or standard or the license types now.
But if you decide to change I would go for 4 types of licenses:
All licenses are for lifetime.
HOME + 1 yr upgrade, HOME + unlimited upgrades, PRO + 1 yr upgrades and PRO + unlimited upgrades.

@serendipity: I think the term "Lifetime License" (although nowadays very fews app actually offer one) is common usage for meaning lifetime upgrades. I rather stick with the common terms and leave the details to the small print.
