More specifically you'd want to change HKLM\Software\Classes\Drive\shell\XYplorer\Command\(Default)'s value to:

"Path\To\XYplorer.exe" /win=normal "%1"Minimizing XY to the tray, right click > exit, and then using the run dialog (Win+R) to open a path results in XY being started in the normal (not minimized or maximized) state.
