Any comments on this? IMO it should be consistent with the ordinary open tab behavior.
Also, the MRU list gets slightly messed up at the top by restoring a closed tab.
It would be really nice to be able to undo more than one closed tab too.

+1 , it would be a very nice add-on to have this feature exactly like the closed tab 'trash can' icon at the edge of opera's tab-bar.
IMHO, its should only be per session but perhaps it could optionally retain history between sessions, in any case the 'Clear list of closed tabs' item on this menu should be present to help keep the clutter down.
