* Mini Tree: The coming and going of removable drives was reflected
by the Mini Tree. Not anymore. Only explicit (user-triggered)
browsing or refreshing will add nodes to the Mini Tree, and only
explicit hiding will remove nodes from it.
According to this, I expected that my folders remain in the Mini Tree, especially at locked tree state. But my folders immediately disappear, when I disconnect my drive. Was the behaviour above changed? Or do I understand something wrong?
Really?
Tested and all works as expected: Nothing changes in the Mini Tree.

I have just tested on XP. It is almost ok. I mean, folders remain in the tree after dismounting, but when I restart XYplorer, folders ar gone and I can see only the disconnected drive label orphaned.
Bug mentioned in my previous post occured on my Win7(64) computer, I will test it further when I am at home.

It occurs after unmounting encrypted partitions made by Safehouse or DiskCryptor.
And why don't folders remain in mini tree after restart XYplorer?

On loading a Mini Tree each folder is checked for existence. It has always been like this. Not a bug but a feature.

So this "feature" is a contradiction to the claiming: Only explicit (user-triggered) browsing or refreshing will add nodes to the Mini Tree, and
only explicit hiding will remove nodes from it."
My problem is: I have a network drive, which I use frequently, so few folders was in my mini tree. But this drive was unavailable for a day. Next day the problem was solved, network share worked again but after starting XYplorer, I could see just the bare drive letter, without folders. That's why I can't name it as a feature and I feel a bit confused reading about removing only by explicit hiding. I expected that it is similar to highlighted folder. XYplorer remembers the highlighted state, even if I delete the folder then I recreate it.

That is surprising. Because:
Code: Select all
v9.90.0006 - 2011-01-10 14:00
% Mini Tree: The Mini Tree now is tolerant about potentially
unavailable network locations. They will simply be added to the
Mini Tree without any check for existence.
And it works here.

I have just tried with a clean install. I went into a few folder to put into the mini tree. Then I unmounted network share and restarted. The result is below. Isn't there any problem with recognizing network folders? Wouldn't be simplier if the check could be disabled for all path somehow?

Please explain again: What's the problem?

Nothing by now. Zombies solved the problem.
