Besides, to be a PITA

I would have kept the full Go menu on the right click, so it's not just a dupe for the arrows.
I agree that having separate back/fwd lists would be ideal and better, but was thinking of making it easier to code for now...thus the single "go" arrow in between them with all the history was my suggestion...it thus doesn't imply either direction, but does allow one to stay away from the "GO" menu above.

and it works that way in a few others apps, starting with IE, Maxthon, etc
True, BUT IE has two separate lists so the down arrow is tied/related to the direction. Using one list relates to neither direction. And FireFox doesn't hi-lite the left/right arrow when you hover over down arrows.
