Like when I've got a large download going. Only thing is to wait for whatever's happening to end, like for the download to finish. If this is not a known issue already, sorry for hijacking the thread, I could start a new one.... :)
I've seen that in the past (without reporting it ). By the sound of it, you've seen this long before the error 10 problem?

I recognize that a couple of users get error 10 by inline renaming.

(1) But what about by deleting (as is said in the thread title)? Only the original poster?
(2) And when you rename by batch rename (you can do that on a single file by pressing Shift+F2) - you still get it.

My suspicion is: It is related to the inline rename box. But the theory only holds when I get (1) YES, and (2) NO.

As soon as I delete some files I get this:

Error 10 (0000000A)
Desc This array is fixed or temporarily locked
Dll 0
Proc

Source XYplorer
XY ver 9.10.0000
OS Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)
Date 07.05.2010 23:31:07

I am on a Vista 64-bit LUA account. But I cannot always reproduce this behaviour. It's a bit erratic.

I've not had it at home (Win7 x64) yet, but I'll be sure to shout if I do.
Used to update to the latest beta every day. Now I have children instead…

I've been seeing this problem too running XYplorer 9.10.0 on Win 7 Pro 64bit on a quad-core notebook with 8GB ram. I've been trying to set up a simple reproducible scenario, but still without success. I've seen it occur with manual renaming of a single file as well as Rename Special/Search and Replace....
Running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit quad-core ASUS G752-VY notebook with 64 GB RAM, over 26 external USB3 drives attached via multiple powered hubs with letters and mount points, totaling 120+ TB.

Get this a lot lately on Win7 x64 (only computer with XY installed). I'm currently with v9.10.0004 portable, but this happens with all recent builds (can't remember since when).

I'm not sure if it happens with batch rename (never used Shift+F2 before, but do use batch rename via context menu occasionally), but it definitely happens with "Search and Replace" rename. In fact, it happened just now. XY crashed after the error 10 message, but the renaming job was completed.

And yes, it happens when deleting files, too.

I get this quite often, too. In fact, it's about every time when I try to rename or delete a file or folder locked by some other application.

Please download this special test version (with certain functionality switched off):

Can you still get error 10 with this version?
