What of that hiccup that I mentioned? It seems to provide further proof that move of that special folder did happen ;)
Still no inspiration here. Is it only with the Music folder?

I only have "My Music" and "My Pictures" special folders in "My Documents", so I'm limited to experimenting with those. Playing "mix and match" with music in pictures and pictures in music, as well as either of those inside any non-special folder in "My Documents" produces the same breadcrumb result.

Your breadcrumb is okay. I meant the Undo issue.

Sorry, you are right. The breadcrumb is not okay.

There is something very strange going on on your computer. Things are moved but not moved at the same time. Dunno what to make of that. :?

About the "Undo" issue...I only have "My Music" and "My Pictures" special folders to play with and for both of those the problems occurs. Having said that, there are ways to create more special folders in XP by fiddling with the registry, but I'm sure their behaviour will mirror current one.

Spooky!

Please look at the attributes of those folders. Anything not normal? My subfolders of "My Documents" are all readonly + directory.

In terms of attributes, I have "Read-only" selected (green square) and in advanced attributes only "For fast searching, allow Indexing Service to index this folder" is ticked. These apply to all folders in "My Documents".

I wasn't aware I could trigger the breadcrumbs by right-clicking on the tab icon. Must have missed that in the wiki. Thanks, it's useful, and possibly better than on the tab name. There are issues with BC on the tab name ala xplorer2 when the names are too long... eg you get something like c:\..\games and you are limited as to how far back you can jump at any one time.

But I like how in XY you can also jump back forwarded... more like the Linux gnome BC than Windows.... which I always thought was a bit of an oversight on MS's behalf. So the way it works now in XY is pretty good, even if it does require an extra click.

Yes, that IS a problem with that method of breadcrumbs! It's been noted before in past BC discussions, and given that tabs in XY can be "iconized" (reduced to just the icon to save space), there would then be no way to access the path to click parts of it.

Glad that you found this subsitute and sorry that I didn't think of it before but I use that feature rarely as on this laptop, right-clicking isn't as quick as left-click (I can tap touchpad).
