Re: NoRefreshDuringFileOperations

Ctrl-c, ctrl-v. I'm running Super Copier 2 as a copy handler replacement, but it doesn't kick in when using XY. But I thought it might be causing issues, or other software I have. But like I said, the same thing happens under a VM. I'm running win7 x32. I'll double check the VM later.

So "suspend auto refresh" should enable when the copy starts, and disable when the copy ends?

Yes, that's what it should do.

So you select some files in the list, then ctrl+c, then you go to the target location, focus the list, then ctrl+v. Ok? Just trying to reproduce it exactly...

EDIT: OK, I tried and come to the conclusion. The function cannot fail. Some other factor must be involved here.

Question: Is your toolbar showing both auto-refresh buttons, the green one (auto-refresh) and the red on (suspend auto-refresh)? And before the copy action green=pressed and red=unpressed, and after the copy action green=pressed and red=pressed?? Would surprise me...

Here is a screencast I made showing what happens.

http://cid-b14c9aea94166fcf.skydrive.li ... plorer.mp4

This is running on a near new win7 x32 VM install, so there is nothing else running that should interfer. I have not changed any default settings.

Two things to note in the screencast:
1 - After the cut/paste, the original file doesn't disappear from the source pane until I click on that pane.
2 - File system changes made outside of XY are not updated automatically in XY (due to suspend auto-refresh of course).

Thanks, very good video (which software did you use for it?)

I watched many times, and tried hard but could not reproduce the effect. :(

However, I could reproduce and fix this one:
1 - After the cut/paste, the original file doesn't disappear from the source pane until I click on that pane.

Maybe this magically fixes the auto-suspend issue you have.

I used the trial of camtasia studio. Never made a screencast before but thought it was the easiest way to show you what was happening.
