Here's a thread about this in the Bugs forum: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2810

Let's be fair here. It's a known problem with XYplorer, not the OS itself. Vista SP1+ is probably a significant contributing factor, but, to the best of my knowledge, no other file manager has the same issue. Also, one Win 7 RC user said he's experiencing issues, while another said he did not. Until one runs XY on a RTM or Retail copy of Win 7 it'll be tricky to definitively state whether there are problems, especially with so many builds of the OS leaking.

Back on topic...I'm with lukescammell on this one :)

It seems this option doesn't do the trick for me.
While the OS copy dialog is doing its job, if I click on XY's window, it gets Not Responding state until the copy is finished.
It can get really annoying if you often copy big files.
Hopefully I'm not one of those users.
That's strange. I've never had a problem with this... XP does not have it, and Windows 7 neither.
Hate to break it to you, but it happens to me on Windows 7 64bit.

Perhaps there is a difference in behaviour between Win 7 32-bit and Win 7 64-bit. In situations like this, it's useful to know not only the OS's name but also its architecture.

Oh I know that your version is 64-bit, but I don't recall the person who said he had no problems with his Win 7 stating what architecture it was. It probably was 32-bit, but don't hold me to that :)

EDIT: Confirmed that ugus said (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 796#p34796) that his Win 7 handles things OK, but he didn't state the build or the architecture. On the other hand, CrouZ said (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 980#p32980) that his 64-bit Win 7 doesn't work properly, though, again, no build number.

I run Vista 64 and the hanging due to the file dialog drives me nuts.

It is my most-wished-fixed issue right now, hint hint ;)
