In Firefox 3.0.10 the main menu on the left is behaving weird. After On hover, the background doesn't restore. And the colors are different from what they are in IE.
In IE8 it is Ok.

I thought this thread is relevant to XY's website? Or not?serendipity wrote:How is this relevant to XY?tedy wrote:In Firefox 3.0.10 the main menu on the left is behaving weird. After On hover, the background doesn't restore. And the colors are different from what they are in IE.

Again: in XY's homepage the menu on the left is not behaving correctly under Firefox.

I have Firefox 3.0.11 and no problems. Probably you have not fully updated your browser cache. Try Ctrl+F5 a couple of times...tedy wrote:In Firefox 3.0.10 the main menu on the left is behaving weird. After On hover, the background doesn't restore. So you went with the grass idea...ok..fine ...but I find it a bit too large, dominant and distracting on main page..like it's a landscaping business...on the other pages, it's much better.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Oh yes, I forgot. I have this problem very often when I update some websites' CSS files. Now it is Ok, after refreshing with F5!admin wrote:I have Firefox 3.0.11 and no problems. Well, I think it's absolutely perfect. The grass rocks.j_c_hallgren wrote:So you went with the grass idea...ok..fine ...but I find it a bit too large, dominant and distracting on main page..like it's a landscaping business...on the other pages, it's much better.

Most likely I started a trend. Within a few weeks all major file manager sites will have grass graphics all over...

I love the pulsating rhythm I see here...
Discussion reopened, in a certain manner.
So I'd like to bring compasses and astrolabes to the table, this time... what about?

Just saw "Plymouth Rock" as new replacement for the ole gal...ties in nicely with the "rock solid" slogan!

Well, that's not a coincidence.j_c_hallgren wrote:Just saw "Plymouth Rock" as new replacement for the ole gal...ties in nicely with the "rock solid" slogan!

I have no idea what a "Plymouth Rock" is but this is a gravel from the Rhine river right where I live.

You've not heard of our famous rock? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_rockadmin wrote:I have no idea what a "Plymouth Rock" is but this is a gravel from the Rhine river right where I live.

Re: OT (a bit): Relaunch of website -- man or women?
Man.
The only thing I see is a potato... And no, I'm NOT starving!
Seriously... THAT IS a potato! That's the first thing that came to mind... and the second and the third, when I saw the picture! In the 4th attempt I saw a distorted moon against a black sky...
I like the "rock solid" idea... but... each and every time we have a new adding to XYplorer, and one major version (even "stable" releases") are significantly different when compared to its predecessor - WHICH IS GOOD! - but completely opposite to a "rock solid" application. Regarding software, the concept alone makes me wonder... rock solid in a fast evolving computing world? Nah! The only apps I'd happily consider rock solid are PowerDesk (for the worse, since I can't see it evolving BUT it is so stable in FILE MANAGEMENT that I'm still attached to it since AGES, and I'm talking about a DATED free version and after testing lots of tools looking for a replacement) and Lighttek's Talisman (shell replacement - it's the only thing it does, each and every change never impacts usability and if won't go deep in themes creation/customization, you barely can't tell what's happening; the only problem I had with it so far was trying to test a version 2.6 (build 2601) that NEVER worked on any of my 4 PCs/several OSs, probably a corrupt installer...).
XYplorer is more like a laboratory, flourishing with ideas and r/evolutionary steps... Rock solid? Definitely not - for the GOOD, in first.
Please, don't take this as unfair criticism - I'm just speaking what comes to mind when I see that... errr... rock.
As a closing, I'd like to quote a lyric from a local songwriter...
It's a wonderful song.

something like "...I've learned the Life's Secret by staring the rocks which cry alone always in the same place."...aprendi o segredo da vida vendo as pedras que choram sozinhas no mesmo lugar.
-"Medo da Chuva", by Raul Seixas.
It's a wonderful song.
