Thanks, Don.
In the meantime, I'll try dialing it back to 48 and see how things look.

PS - If I don't post back before the 25th, Merry Christmas to you, Don, and to everyone here on the forum.

It should work now (v7.90.0017) -- does it?

Under Vista 64 (with or without WOW redirection) it still does not work. Sizes above 48 get cut off (FYI, 48 worked before v7.90.0017). I tried 56, 64 and 72.

Very strange. It definitely works here and I would be very surprised if that API changed its functionality under Vista. Icons up to 48 should be shown in original size, larger should be shrinked (not cut off!). Out of ideas...
Apropos WOW redirection: Are you using this feature and if yes for what? (I'm about tracing a probable bug here...)

I have absolutely no idea why (or why not) I should be using WOW redirection. I thought at one point it allowed me to see the 64-bit version of 7-Zip in the context menu like Windows Explorer has, but I have been unable to reproduce that behavior. I don't get a 7-Zip entry in the context menu regardless.

PS - Welcome back from vacation. I would have replied earlier, but I didn't think you'd be responding over the holidays so I didn't check the web site.
