Slightly off topic, but why isn't MP3 listed in Previewed Formats?
I have MP3 listed in Preview Formats under the Audio and Video category, TheQwerty.

I don't seem to have any problem with decoding, it shows me all info, including all ID3 tag info. Just seems to skip directly the end of file. Even though it only seems to be happening to me, it's happening on 3 very different systems. That's why I went through the list of common software (anti-virus, etc.) I use on all 3 and tried to narrow it down. No luck yet. It's not a big deal to double-click to play, but the preview is one of the best features of XY for me.

And now it's a mission...

But at least they have in common, that they are yours. So could it be possible that you have installed something else on all these systems, possibly regarding MP3, that most others don't have?

Yup, that's the assumption I've been working under going through all the stuff. But I've tried it now in Safe Mode, which means that most drivers aren't being loaded, nothing for startup options, and only minimal processes. Still doesn't play MP3's. I know it still has to be something specific to me, but I'll be doggoned if I can figure out what it is.

I have a lot of other work to do, so I may have to leave it for the weekend, but I'll keep playing with it...

It's definitely related to Tag's. I am having same problems. If I remove tags from the MP3 then XY could preview mp3's else it Cannot Decode for some MP3's.

I think the problem is with the cover art.
The cover art larger certain size(in kb's) are causing problem.
Can't find the maximum working but definitely larger than 150kb's or so are not working.

Thanks for the file. I can only confirm that it does not work. I don't see a way to fix this. :(

It's getting annoying. Is XYP able to read ID3v2.4 tags. Does it support unicode or ansi tags?
I see more and more recent mp3's are unable to be previewed in XYP

btw have you tested the things i found about cover art?

XY only supports ID3v1.
I cannot say more than what I said before: "I can only confirm that it does not work. I don't see a way to fix this."
