"Normal paste from the COPYQ clipboard..." just tell me what you do. Where do you mousedown, or drag, or keydown, in which window? A screenshot will help a lot.
CopyQ is a powerful clipboard manager that keeps a history of everything you copy, allowing you to go back and use items you copied earlier. Here is a step-by-step guide to get you started.
We'll start with copying text, if that works for you we'll move on to copying files later.
Step 1: Copy Your First Item
Open any text document or website.
Highlight a piece of text (e.g., "Hello World").
Press Ctrl + C (or right-click and select Copy).
CopyQ has now automatically saved this to its history.
Step 2: Copy Your Second Item
Highlight a different piece of text (e.g., "Learning CopyQ").
Press Ctrl + C again.
This second item is now at the top of your list, and the first item has moved down one slot.
Step 3: Accessing the History
To see your saved items, click the CopyQ icon in your system tray (usually located at the bottom right of your screen, near the clock).
Alternatively, use the default shortcut Ctrl + Alt + V to open the main window.
Step 4: Pasting the First Item
Since you copied "Learning CopyQ" last, it is currently on your standard clipboard. To paste the first item ("Hello World"):
Open the CopyQ main window.
Locate the first item you copied ("Hello World") in the list.
Double-click the item, or select it and press Enter.
CopyQ will automatically move that item to the top and paste it into your active window.
