READ THIS AND DO IT!!!
Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

This probably does not help, but I post it anyway:

Re: Floppy warning popup
Load beta 0505 and try these 3 scripts:
How many popups do you get with each?
Code: Select all

Re: Floppy warning popup
Good news: I could reproduce it with an old card reader I found in some dusty drawer. Now the tB guys take over.

Re: Floppy warning popup
twinBASIC, the language the 64-bit version is written in. This is a language bug, not an XY bug.

Re: Floppy warning popup
Sounds correct. The 32 bit version does not make any popups.

Re: Floppy warning popup
Now the bad news: It's not fixable but some weird thing in Win7 and Win8. Win11 (and probably Win10) does not have the problem.

Re: Floppy warning popup
Here is an idea from AI (did not test):
5. Registry Fix (Disable Error Messages)
If the error persists and is just an annoyance, you can tell Windows to stop showing "No Disk" error pop-ups via the registry.
Type regedit in the start menu and run as administrator.
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
Locate ErrorMode on the right side.
Double-click it and change the value data to 2.
Reboot your computer.

Re: Floppy warning popup
I wiil try that tomorrow, I can't reboot the pc now.
But I find it strange that other 64 bit file managers do not have this problem. Try eg. Total Commander or Multi Commander or even the crappy Windows file explorer. Also, I don't see this popup at any other occation.

Re: Floppy warning popup
Yes, I find it strange, too. And the tB guys as well. It's a fascinating mystery at the moment.
