It runs OK, loads Backup Magic file backup program and duly executes its script!

Maybe something is wrong with your config.

Did you change something in Tools-Customize File Associations? Or maybe in Configuration-Shell Integration?

It seems I found the culprit. I had in Configuration | Shell Integration check mark "Open files from 64-bit process" checked. As soon as I now unchecked it, my .bms shortcut again runs perfectly and as it should! What technically happens when it's checked and unchecked? I somehow must have felt recently that I should have it checked and I obviously checked it. No more! And Backup Magic is a 32-bit older program but still gives me what I need.

When I asked you to compare .0123 to .0131, I obviously meant "with exactly the same configuration". Well, apparently it was not that obvious. I'll make it explicit next time.

I wasn't really aware that checking this checkbox could cause such unexpected results and didn't see it as causing this type of changed XY performance.

And also Macrium Reflect image backup files (with extension .mrimg) now perfectly load the Macrium Reflect browser when left double-clicking on them, even without customizing the file association. So obviously, this was also linked to the checked 64-bit configuration checkbox.

Don, if user doesn't mention "tested with fresh instance", you should always use this "template":

"Did you test with a fresh instance? Just paste fresh; into your XYplorer address bar and press ENTER."
