Next beta will have a nice improvement:
Code: Select all
% Icons extracted from icon resources: XY learned to extract icons larger than 32x32.
Here shown with the semi-documented sysicon command:
sysicons "<xy>", 4, "e"; //256x256
This fixed part of the embedded icons issue from v24.50.0104. 48x48 icons are now
shown perfectly. However 256x256 icons still fail. Working on it...
Compare Before/Now:
Extract256-before.png
Extract256-now.png

Don, you mentioned that you had issues with extracting embedded icons, but just to confirm, if using an icon index CFI and thumbnail mode larger than 64x64 (of the default options), the icons are blank, that is a known limitation? In Tiles view I can get up to a custom size of 95. If used without an index the icon shows, eg, <xy> & <xy> /1 the latter is blank at larger thumbnail sizes. Not sure if it is relevant to your issues with embeds but I noticed the new icons you embedded are actual icons, usually the 256x256 size shows as png, I guess to get compression, not sure if that is a requirement though.

I know that. The problem is not extraction but adding them to the jumbo image list. And I have not given up yet...

Well, I've given up now. So I'm going to remove the embedded icons, and I'm thinking about adding these icons to the download package instead. Personally, I really like the "Empty" and "AccessDenied" icons. I find them really helpful. But maybe I'm the only one? Maybe no one else cares?

BTW, these are the current versions of the icons.

I find CFIs really helpful too.
The icons in your latest betas look nice. Although I use another set of icons (
