hi @Admin,

I did this: "add your Excel extensions to Tools | Customize File Associations... and open them with Excel from there. Double-click will work."

But unfortunately double click or "open" from context menu still opens Excel files with wrong DPI settings. I am not sure what you mean by "open them with Excel from there" - from where?

1) Also if this is ticked: Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Open files from 64-bit process

2) What exactly were you referring to when you said:
opening by "Open With" / Excel / Always -> correct DPI settings

yes, this is ticked
what do you mean by opening by "Open With" / Excel / Always -> correct DPI settings
I select an Excel file, choose "Open With" from the context menu, Excel is default and appears as the top candidate in the selection of apps, and I hit the "Always* button.

OK. Apparently I cannot emulate that. Out of ideas at the moment. :|
