Well, still you may trade this against another secret from yours hehe

Hi,lastnikita wrote:Hi, just wanted to add myself on the list of people who'd like this a lot !
Maybe you could kindly ask the author of Xplorer2 ? Or am I optimistic ?
I see. Well, currently not planned.lastnikita wrote:Sorry I missed your answer !
Mainly those are new files created by 3rd party app.. there are many scenarios for this, and I'd like to be able to see them all at once in a block, at the bottom of the monitored folder (like XP explorer). As an example: new downloads, lost in a +50 files folder, which I need to sort before they get reordered and I can't remember what I downloaded.
Now that's good newsadmin wrote:BTW, I know now how this could be done.
Well, I guess removed items are (and should be) removed, and added items (should not) act the same ?admin wrote:Question: Do you ever have the case that items are added AND other items are removed from the list at the same time by a 3rd party app. I wonder how this is/would/should be handled?
Guess... I'd like to know the facts.lastnikita wrote:Now that's good newsadmin wrote:BTW, I know now how this could be done.
Hope it will reach your roadmap list soon !

You mean the new ones were NOT appended but ordered (like in XY now)?lastnikita wrote:hehe sure, just tried, was monitoring a dir, few files removed and few added, it acted the way I guessed, removed/refresh, and ordered the new ones
Okay, and now: If old files get renamed and new files are added at the same time? (last question, promise)lastnikita wrote:huh, you meant via standard explorer.. ok tried again and via WE it acts as it should:
files are removed, and new ones goes at the bottom.
Aha! I wonder of you could fool that system by a swap rename (can be done with XYplorer in menu File). Does it recognize the rename (although all filenames in the list are identical!) and move the 2 renamed files to the bottom, or not? (sorry, another question...)lastnikita wrote:both renamed and added went to the bottom !
Thanks. Whenever I decide to do this, I'll come back to this thread.lastnikita wrote:swap names ?
under XY, files don't move (but names do).
under WE, files take each other place (so names 'don't move').
about rename
executed in WE, stays its old place in WE, immediatly sorted in XY
excuted in XY, file stay its place in XY, goes to the bottom in WE
