Don in Beta 23.50.0006, the list pane file colors seem to be back to normal (i.e., they look fine), but the info panel in dark mode is still off. See pics.

Looks like a TabIPVisualStyle mod issue.

Might be, but under Win8.1 I cannot reproduce it with any TabIPVisualStyle.

Here is one more minor Dark Mode related glitch.
When I enable the Dark Mode, the Breadcrumb Bar triangle menu slider becomes dark as expected.

However, after restarting XY it switches back to the light version.

Probably hard to fix. This UI stuff is more hacking than coding when it comes to changing standard Windows controls. But I plan to write my own scrollbars, which will fix this as well.

No, it was like that before Beta 23.50.0006 as you can see in a previous entry here viewtopic.php?p=201612#p201612 above in this thread. Though I don't know how far back it goes. I've been using adaptive colors, but it doesn't seem to matter. It results in black text on a dark background. Based on jupe's comment, I changed the TabIPVisualStyle from "0" (what I had originally) to "1" and "2", but it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

This is how it looks now with the above settings...a little better in that I can make out what some of the tabs are.

Also with a fresh instance when you just turn on dark mode?

It's fine on Fresh as you can see below.

Fresh has the following settings. So I tried those on my normal XY and It helped but it's still black text on a dark background.

Hmmm, only you can find out what makes the crucial difference to fresh.

FYI I can repro on Win10 in my testing config, but i rarely use dark mode anyway, I did notice that if you set this color to say white:

Configuration | Colors and Styles | Colors | Other Tabs Text

it fixes the BG tabs (not sel), not sure if that will help klownboy.

Thanks jupe, "Other Tabs Text" is definitely the culprit or at least the color involved. It was set on fully black text on white background and resulted in what my pic and yours above shows. When I change that to anything else (e.g., blue text on white background or something not completely black on white) it is much better. Don, is there something wrong with that dark color conversion on the IP tabs when everything else appears alright?
