But I don't see a way to turn the whole Autosize feature off, then to follow your instructions... am I missing something here?
"Jump to setting" isn't showing anything pertinent, as far as I can tell.

Try this dialog to find it: menu Help | List All Commands...

Found it! Thank you!
Mmmmm... is there a way to TRUNCATE PATHS IN THE MIDDLE, for the "path" column?
EDIT
Wait. It's behaving differently for names chopped (middle is truncated) or displayed in their entirety (extremities are truncated) at the Tree pane.

Not clear what you mean. Maybe a screenshot helps...

We cannot reproduce it a single time anymore, sorry. It's probably a misunderstanding on my side, sorry.

I noticed this issue on day 1, so my solution was to find a comfortable window size and never change it. Today I upgraded my 27" monitor to a 34" ultra-wide so I decided to tackle the problem again and find a fix. I'm happy to see that it has already been addressed, and surprisingly recent too.
Thanks a bunch, having a minimum/maximum works great and I'm now free to resize XY to whatever sizes I need

@WirlyWirly,
The feature was added just when you need it.
Thanks to Donald.
My contribution may be
0.001%.
I would be even happier if you would support the features you want implemented before they are implemented.
(For example, my demands.
)
Thanks in advance for your interest.
